Сажетак

У раду се излаже о начинима на које су пенитенцијарни системи у свету покушали да умање опасност од ширења вируса Корона 19 и са којим су се све тешкоћама срели у том настојању. После подсећања на стање у коме су се ти системи налазили пре проглашења пандемије, анализирана су искуства неколико држава (САД, УК, Ирска, Бразил, Филипини), а онда укратко указано и на покушаје учињене у осталим земљама. Излагање се односи на првих неколико месеци ширења вируса - до тренутка када се могло почети са применом вакцина. То је био период драматичних догађаја и радикалних потеза повлачених у изнудици.
